Middle school is where small gaps start to show
Middle school math moves fast. Ratios, negative numbers, and equations all build on fractions and multiplication from earlier grades. When one of those skills never fully clicked, grades can slip quickly and students start to believe they are “just not a math person.” Finding the real gap now keeps them on track for Math 1 and high school.
We find the real gap
A diagnostic assessment shows exactly which skills are solid and which need work, including gaps from earlier grades, so sessions target the right things from day one.
One-on-one, every time
Your student gets a patient tutor’s full attention, at their own pace, online or in person at a local library or Barnes & Noble.
Parents stay in the loop
You receive a clear report with strengths, areas to work on, and next steps you can share with your student’s teacher.

Is it too late to get help in middle school?
Not at all. Middle school is one of the best times to fix gaps, before Math 1 and high school courses build on them. Once the missing skills are found and practiced, students usually feel the difference in class.
My student is taking Math 1 in 8th grade. Can you help?
Yes. We tutor Math 1 as well as regular 8th grade math, and we can help students moving into an accelerated course get comfortable with the faster pace.
Does online tutoring work for middle schoolers?
Yes. Online sessions use interactive whiteboards and live problem-solving, and most middle schoolers adapt quickly. Families near Mooresville and Troutman can also choose in-person sessions.
What if tutoring isn’t a good fit?
Your first session is covered by our 100% money-back guarantee, so there’s no risk in trying.
